PROJECT SCOPE

Bulk Earthworks, Car Park & Concrete Hardstand Construction

PROJECT SUMMARY

Australasian Construction was awarded the subcontract by Lanskey Construction for the completion of civil works at Caribou Drive for the CHEP Pallets Facility. The scope of work for the ~57,000m2 project consisted of bulk earthworks, concrete hardstand (~35,000m2), and asphalt pavement (~2,700m2) construction. Our specialized range of in-house machinery was used to meet the Client's needs for sub-grade and pavement layers to be filled and trimmed to design RLs to within +/-10 mm tolerance. All works were conducted under Level 1 Supervision and to the required engineering specifications.

CONSTRUCTION SUMMARY

    • Cut to fill of sub-grade to design RLs using site-won material, inclusive of removal of oversized and unsuitable material (with use of in-house specialized plant).

    • Place, compact and final trim of pavement rubble across the site to design RLs for the building pad (~7,000m2) and car park (~1200m2).

    • Compaction of all layers achieved with the use of pad foot & smooth drum vibrating roller.

    • Trimming to appropriate levels to accommodate for asphalt, heavy-duty asphalt, concrete & building pad across the site.

    • Undertook sub-base, bitumen, kerb, gutter & line marking works to supply functional car parking facilities.
